DisneyHatesIWW

DisneyHatesIWW - Long before it was fashionable to be anti-anti-capitalist, Walt Disney had an intense hostility to labor unions, particularly radical labor unions such as the IWW.  This still is a cell from Disney's late 1910s "Alice" series.  The (highly inaccurate and misleading) portrayal here of "Little Red Henski" with typical Russian looking features feeds into the pro World War I hysteria that the IWW was controlled by "foreign" interests, typically German, Hungarian, and Eastern European, even though the vast majority of the IWW's influence and political influence was entirely domestic.
