Chairman Haywood called the convention to order about one o’clock.

THE CHAIRMAN: When the convention adjourned we were under the head of discussion of the reason for the Manifesto.

SPEECH OF A. KLEMENSIC, PUEBLO.

DEL. KLEMENSIC: Brother Chairman, Brother Delegates and Sister Delegates: As I understand the conditions in this country since I landed on these shores fifteen years ago, in 1890, I have seen that there is a bottom, a main philosophy to be found among the working class which form the pedestal to the capitalist class. The prevailing philosophy is this: “Get rich quick; honestly if you can, but get rich anyhow.
